The Geeky Gardener who maintains this blog is a brown thumb first and foremost, but also a perennial student a close second.

She’s an avid web surfer by night, and asleep by day (heh) but to slough off dead brain cells and fire up new ones to life, she gardens.

Yes, the geeky brown thumb gardens...in the late afternoon when—technically—her day’s just starting.

So what’s a brown thumb to do if she’s a-wanting some vegetables on her table regularly, she’s obsessed with gardening, and she’s stingy? (Can’t stand making the 45-minute drive to Orlando weekly and spending close to $100 just for vegetables...not to mention gas money.)

She consults Google on how to grow stuff, plants a vegetable garden, and follows expert advice—culled from the know-it-all World Wide Web—to the letter. Her mistakes are all thanks to her penchant to rebel and experiment. :)

Because she’s forgotten how to write with a pen, this blog serves as her garden journal—not necessarily in chronological order.

Oh, did she say she likes taking pictures? She’s a photography buff so when she goes to walk through her garden every day, her trusty digital camera (point and shoot variety) is nestled in her shorts pockets.
